Morrissey replaces Bowie with Astley for "The Last of the Famous International Playboys" cover

    Last month Morrissey announced he was going to use a unknown photo of him and David Bowie for the reissue cover of his single "The Last of the Famous International Playboys", well that didn't sit well with Bowie (or his lawyers who really knows) so he told Morrissey to not use it. Well it looks like Morrissey went digging through his drawer of famous photo bombs and has come up with a pic of him with Rick Astley taken backstage at a 1989 TOTP appearance…to be honest it's a great picture, Morrissey actually looks happy, so maybe it all worked out for the better. 

  To my friends at Pitchfork, the song in question is not called "The Last of the International Playboys"…for next time.

Morrissey won't play Jimmy Kimmel Live

    According to a post on Morrissey's Facebook Page he won't perform on the television show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' as long as the cast from the reality series 'Duck Dynasty' are also guests.

Morrissey also stated, "As far as my reputation is concerned, I can't take the risk of being on a show alongside people who, in effect, amount to animal serial killers. If Jimmy cannot dump Duck Dynasty then we must step away."

Johnny Marr plays The Smiths 'Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now' Video

    Here in a video from the NME's Song Stories Series Johnny Marr tells us how a new guitar (the guitar he plays in the video) helped him write the riff of The Smiths' classic 'Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now', he then plays the tune for the first time in 25 years….very cool.

Morrissey cancels shows due to bladder infection

    **Update**
  Billboard now reports that he has been diagnosed with a bleeding ulcer. He's expected to make a full recovery, but as a result, he's canceled another string of tour dates.

    News is out that Morrissey has cancelled a string of shows due to a "band illness", but Billboard reports that the former Smiths frontman has been hospitalized in Royal Oak, Michigan. According to his representative (via Billboard), "he is undergoing tests for a suspected bladder infection."
