Record Store Day 2013: Jack White/White Stripes news

    So it looking like on April the 20^th (RSD) is going to be an extra special day if you're a White Stripes fan. Jack White is set to reissue The White Stripes’ Elephant record on that day, and according to COS it will be pulled from the original analog source, the re-mastered album comes pressed on two different colored vinyl's: LP1 is on split-color black and red vinyl, and LP2 is on white vinyl, all housed in a double pocket gatefold, tip on sleeve….that sounds sweet.

     There's a brief video on the Third Man Records’ website teasing us …watch it HERE.

A standard black vinyl reissue will be released later this year.

Getting a Divorce? Jack White says Throw a Party

    Jack White and wife Karen Elson are throwing an anniversary party…well kind of, it’s a party to announce their 6th wedding anniversary and also their upcoming divorce, and as usual Jack does it with just a little bit of fever thrown into the mix. 

    White and Elson married in Brazil back in 2005 and have 2 kids together, they live in Nashville.

    Knowing a bit of how Jack White works, this whole parade just smells a little too much like a PR stunt. For their 2 kids’ sake I hope it’s not.
