Courtney Love covers Jay-Z’s ’99 Problems’
Have to say first is I'm a fan of the original, don't ask me
why I just dig it, so when I read about this I was a bit scared to check it out…..but
in my opinion she pulls it off, it actually takes the song to a different place…if
that's possible.
OK enough of my rambling,
here's what I'm going to do…first watch the original by Jay-Z (with my Brotha
from another mutha Rick Rubin) , then check
out Courtney's cover and let me know
what you think.

Run DMC Tour TV Spot
You don't
see a lot of commercials on TV anymore for concert tours so when these TV Spots
pop up from time to time on YouTube I love checking them out. Here's one for
the Run DMC tour that featured Whodini, LL Cool J and the Timex Social Club (a
rather odd choice I might add).
Now they are not in the ad but I'm pretty sure
The Beastie Boys were also part of this bill aka "The Raising Hell tour".

Sonic More Music's Track of the Week
Cadence Weapon - Hope In Dirt City
I rediscovered this
album a few weeks ago and I just keep returning to the title track, his voice
flows with the music that at some points sounds slowed down to the point of backmasking….hypnotic to say the least.
Check it out

Hope in Dirt City can be found on iTunes
