Bahamas added to the 2013 Mariposa Folk Festival Lineup

    His name is Afie Jurvanen, he used to be the guitarist/pianist for Feist, at one point he lived in Barrie, Ontario (A Local Boy!) , he has released two widely acclaimed records (2009's Pink Strat & last year's Barchords)…..and you may know his as Bahamas. 

    Afie (pronounced AY-fee) gives us a real feel for the music, whether it's a straight back folk-out or he's swinging it awake as he does in "Caught Me Thinkin" the listener is never left feeling lost.  The news that he will be playing the Grande Dame of Folk Festivals The Mariposa Folk Festival this July added some real coolness to an already great early lineup, so if you were on the fence about attending this year the addition of Bahamas should seal the deal for you.
