David Bowie's 'The Next Day' Streaming for FREE on iTunes

David Bowie is streaming for FREE his new album 'The Next Day' in its entirety on iTunes,
the stream is available until the album is released in your country.

The tracks I've heard so far are really good, he's not going to break any new ground with it but it's Bowie and it sounds very solid…so I like.

***Update*** After hearing the whole thing I have to say it's a really good record, treat yourself to some Bowie with this!

According to the NME "Performing after he accepted his Godlike Genius award, Johnny Marr introduced 'How Soon Is Now?' as "a Manchester folk song" before taking on lead vocals."

Below is a fan shot video of the performance.

My Concert Ticket Stubs: The Concert for Human Rights Now!

1988 – Maple Leaf Gardens

I remember I was living in Toronto at the time going to college, and like most kids do with their osap I spent it on other things rather than school. I was downtown doing nothing and heard this show was that night, walked up to MLG, bought a ticket and went by myself (I was lucky because the show had initially sold out in like 25 minutes so I guess after setting up the stage they had extra seats)… it was my one and only time seeing Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

Jerry Leger Live @ The Brownstone in Orillia Sat March 2nd

Instead of staying home and watching hockey or surfing FB this Saturday night why not get out; and get down to The Brownstone Cafe in Orillia and catch a musician that could teach lessons on being a musician, his name is Jerry Leger. Folk, rock, country, bluegrass…you get it all from a guy who by the age of 27 already has 5 records to his name. What can you say about a musician whose sophomore album was produced by Don Kerr and had Ron Sexsmith playing piano on it? you don't say anything but sit back and enjoy.

Below is the track "All Over Again" from his latest record Some folks Know, it's a duet he did with Serena Ryder. Duets are a hard thing to pull off, the singers have to have an unwritten sense of intimacy between them, and on this track these two really do pull it off.

Saturday night Jerry will be backed by Dan Mock on bass & Kyle Sullivan on drums, so as I said get out of the house and watch a real musical treasure, this guys the real deal.
